So last night I watched Jesus the Journey.
It left me to wonder that if Jesus walked the earth with us at this moment in time: If he manifested himself into a human that although modern to our time but was equivalent to his self/situation to his first incarnation, Would we recognize him and listen? Would we know him? Or, would we simply overlook him because he was different, he was without financial status, education, and power? He was poor. Would we look down upon him because he choose to seek followers (equal to his disciplines of his time) that were from the lowest poverty level of society?
Would we question him more when he challenged our actions and behaviors/beliefs of our time now. Because we do try to justify ourself, and actions. Would we look at this man who was preaching to love thy enemy as thyself, even in the event of a direct attack? Would we turn or cheek? Would we give our shirt to a man that just took our jacket? I could go on and on. But the bottom line and moral of the story is...Would we know him? Would we accept him or reject him? Would we know him in our heart or just look down upon him as many did from his time?
I guess this is the time of year to really reflect on our self and our Christ conciseness. Are we in tune to the Christ from within? Do we walk the talk?
These are questions that I ask you as well as myself. I would like to think so. I would like to think that I would recognize Christ, I would like to think that I see the miracles that are manifested in my life as well. But when I really think about it...well I have to wonder.
More to come. As with everything in my life. When I seek answers, I am always left with more questions. But I have to say the show gave me hope.
This was sent to me and I have chosen to share it here.
